Nardos Amdework

Nardos Amdework is a communications officer at the Program for Biosafety Systems, an initiative that supports partner countries in Africa and Asia in the responsible development and use of agricultural biotechnology. There, she engages in in biotechnology awareness and strategy by organizing workshops on communications, biosafety awareness and public participation.

Nardos strongly believes in biotechnology’s power to transform the agriculture sector in Ethiopia, a country where nearly 85 percent of the population is engaged in agricultural activities.

Nardos holds a master’s of science in environmental planning. She hopes the GLFP will enhance her professional competence and develop the leadership abilities necessary for science communications.
