Jonan Twinamatsiko

Jonan Twinamatsiko is a 2018 Winkler Family Foundation Fellow.

Jonan is a science and communications officer at the Science Foundation for Livelihoods and Development, where he engages media, local communities and policymakers on science and technology issues. He is also currently involved in the formulation of the East African Community Science, Technology and Innovations Policy and is a co-founder of the Youth for Science and Development – East Africa initiative that brings together young science enthusiasts to advocate for appropriate science and technology interventions to solve societal challenges like climate change and food security.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biotechnology from Makerere University. At the GLFP, he expects to acquire more advanced knowledge and strategic skills for grassroots mobilization and science communication to enhance evidenced-based decision-making around global issues.
