Gerald Andae

Gerald Andae is a professional journalist who holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Moi University in Kenya. He is currently a final year student of linguistics, media and communication.

As he sees it, the world is now facing the serious problem of climate change, which has negatively affected food production. One way to mitigate the effects of climate change is to adopt seeds that are resistant to insects and tolerant to drought. This calls for the adoption of GMOs, which have proven to be very effective in promoting food security.

Gerald hopes that by participating in the GLFP he will gain insights into how to best communicate the complex topic of agricultural biotechnology and become a good ambassador for passing that information to stakeholders in order to change their perceptions of GMO crops.
