Diarra Compaore-Sereme

Diarra Compaore-Sereme is a 2019 Winkler Family Foundation Fellow.

Diarra Compaore-Sereme is a research engineer at the Food Technology Department (DTA) of the Institute of Research in Applied Sciences and Technologies (IRSAT) of the National Centre for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST) in Ouagadougou.

Her work focuses on developing and providing solutions for agri-food processing and preservation. She is also involved in food safety activities through microbiological analysis food sample products.

As a researcher in microbial biotechnology, Diarra is involved in the promotion of science by sharing results with the public. Through the GLFP, she hopes to hone the tools of strategic planning and training for effective communication that will strengthen her capacities to better promote and advocate for the uptake of research results.
