Calvin Edward Gwabara has twelve years of journalism experience and is currently working as a television and radio journalist at Sokoine University of Agriculture in Morogoro, Tanzania. He writes news and features articles on science and agriculture for various newspapers and also runs a blog focusing on agriculture, the environment and tourism.

Calvin is the winner of the 2017 Excellence in Science Journalism (Tanzania) Award and the 2018 Tanzania Media Excellence Award in Radio.

Born and raised in a rural part of Tanzania where farming practices largely depend on ecological dynamics, Calvin has developed a keen interest in agricultural and environmental issues. He therefore aspires to become a science journalist in Tanzania.
